I don't put a time limit on my sessions. My pets only knows what time their next meal is so to expect pets to stop after an hour would be too stressful. I know it can be confusing for pets so I'm fine with taking breaks, giving treats and letting them get comfortable with me and the process so don't worry about time. You're likely my only client that day.

Most of my clients don't have professionally trained dogs and that's okay. Whether in the studio or on location, we don't have to rush. Before we start shooting, I want your pet to know I'm their friend and want to have a good time with them. You'll be amazed at how good your pet can be when asked to do something new.
If we are out and about though, I do have a 20 and 30-foot lead so we can get those running shots without worrying about them running off. Your pet's safety is my first concern. (amazing photos are a close second)
I suggest that everyone think about their photo session like they're going out on a fancy date. You want to look your best but you want to be comfortable. If it's with your dog and we are walking in the woods, I suggest good shoes and appropriate clothes. You want to consider your partners or family's outfits that complement each other.
Things to avoid are clothes that are even a little shop-worn, anything with holes and especially clothes with text or logos.
If you wear makeup, I suggest using a matte surface to avoid shiny marks on your face.
Once your session is scheduled, we'll discuss outfits and how to prepare for your session so you'll feel your best on the day of your shoot.

You bet I do. I have a travel kit with extra lighting and gear for my location sessions. I will even bring a trusted assistant to help make sure everything goes smoothly.
Most of the traveling I do is within a 50-mile radius of Littleton, MA, but I've been convinced to travel across the country for special sessions.
I want to show you right away but it depends on if you're coming to the studio or on location.
When we shoot in the studio, I shoot right into the computer so you get to see the photos as we are shooting. This is helpful so we can make sure we are getting the looks we like.
When on location, we shoot a wide variety of photos so you won't see them until the reveal. We schedule the order/reveal session about 10 days later. We'll get to look at all the best photos from the day and decide which you love and want to purchase.

The cost is broken into two parts. The first is the session fee. The second is the order/reveal session. This is where we look at all your photos, decide which you love and want to purchase as prints, albums or even files. My clients spend between $500 to $3500 on their print order. I've set up my pricing so you have the final decision on the order. If you don't like the work, you don't have to buy anything. That way, I work harder to make sure you get images you see the value in.
